Do you have any discontinued whisky? What you don't know about Japanese whisky - Hibiki

響HIBIKI 24面切割瓶身威士忌

"To create whiskey beloved by the world, with Japanese sensibility." This was the dream of Suntory founder Shinjiro Torii.

In 1923, Shinjiro established Japan's first whisky distillery in Yamazaki, on the outskirts of Kyoto. After developing Suntory's "White Label," "Kakubin," and "Old" whiskies, Shinjiro's second son, Keizo Saji, launched the " Hibiki" whisky in 1989, coinciding with Suntory's 90th anniversary. It is known as the "pinnacle" of Japanese whisky.
The basic bottle of Hibiki features 24 facets, representing 24 hours in a day and 24 solar terms in a year, symbolizing every day and every hour that the liquid in the bottle has matured.

In 2002, Suntory released the limited edition "Hibiki" 35-year-old whisky in a "Iroe Usumizusoka Mon Yoshibin" bottle, created by Imaizumi Imaemon XIII. Using the "Iro Nabeshima" (colored Nabeshima ware) technique, the highest grade of Japanese colored porcelain, Imaemon combined Sarasa patterns from the "Middle East" with his own floral designs to create a crystallization of beauty and technology.

In 2007, the limited edition "Hibiki" 35-year-old whisky was released in a "Yosai Bin Hekiyo" bottle, created by Tokuda Yasokichi III. This colored porcelain ware was crafted by the master of the Kutani ware technique, National Treasure Tokuda Yasokichi III, using the unique and exquisite "Yosai" technique. The bottle is coated with 8 special glazes that create 8 soft gradations from dark blue to yellow, a technique mastered by him alone. "Hekiyo" was named by Tokuda Yasokichi III for this vessel, incorporating the meaning of "SUN" from SUNTORY. Its mysterious and profound radiance creates a dreamlike beauty.

In 2012, Suntory launched the "Nigoshide Yama Tsutsuji Mon Yoshibin" by Sakaida Kakiemon XIV. This vessel was created by Sakaida Kakiemon XIV, the head of the Kakiemon kiln with a 400-year tradition in Arita-cho, Saga Prefecture, the birthplace of Japanese porcelain. "Nigoshide" refers to a milky-white body glaze used by Kakiemon. The "Nigoshide" body glaze of the "Nigoshide Yama Tsutsuji Mon Yoshibin" blends perfectly with the blooming mountain azaleas, echoing the vibrancy and delicate aroma of "Hibiki 35-year-old."

In 2016, two limited edition "Hibiki" 35-year-old whiskies were released: "Old Kutani Painted Peony and Butterfly Pattern Cylindrical Bottle" and "Early Arita Blue and White Peony and Butterfly Pattern Cylindrical Bottle." These showcase the traditional Japanese ceramic arts of "Kutani ware" and "Arita ware" to the world.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: What is the recycling price for Japanese whiskies like Macallan, Yamazaki, and Hibiki?

A: The discontinued Japanese whisky effect continues to spread, with rare and out-of-production bottles like Yamazaki 25-year-old, Hibiki 30-year-old, and Karuizawa reaching recycling prices of over six figures. Macallan Sherry Oak 18/25/30 years also maintain high liquidity in the secondary market. WhatsApp 945307784 with photos of your bottles for an instant quote.

Q: If a whisky has been opened and some liquid has evaporated, does it still have recycling value?

A: Opened whiskies will significantly affect the recycling price, but extremely rare bottles (such as Karuizawa, discontinued Japanese whiskies) may still have collector's value even if opened. We recommend WhatsApping us the bottle, label, and remaining liquid volume for a professional assessment.

Q: How do you authenticate whisky?

A: Hong K Recycling has professional appraisers who will cross-verify multiple dimensions, including label printing, capsule seal, liquid color, bottle batch number, and anti-counterfeiting codes. They use UV lights and magnifiers for on-site inspection, all done transparently for the customer to witness.

Q: How can I avoid buying fake whisky?

A: Pay attention to the bottle cap seal, label printing quality, batch number, and anti-counterfeiting codes. For high-value whiskies, it is recommended to purchase from reputable channels. If you have doubts about a bottle you own, Hong K Recycling can provide a preliminary authentication free of charge.

Q: If the plastic seal on the whisky bottle is slightly damaged, does it significantly affect the value?

A: A complete seal is the ideal state. If the damage is minor and the stopper is still well-sealed with no signs of leakage, the price deduction is usually 5-10%. However, if the seal is completely detached or the cap is loose, the deduction will be larger.
