Leslie Cheung (September 12, 1956 - April 1, 2003), born in Hong Kong, China, is a male singer, actor, musician, and one of the representatives of Hong Kong's multi-faceted development in film, television and music.
He made his official debut in 1977 and gained attention in 1983 with "The Wind Continues to Blow." His 1984 song "Monica" became the first dance song in Hong Kong to win both the Top Ten Chinese Golden Songs and the Jade Solid Gold Songs.
