Use each Champagne house’s own naming system. Krug Grande Cuvée is traced through its Édition number and 6-digit Krug iD. Krug Vintage states the vintage directly. Drappier Carte d’Or is a Pinot Noir-led Brut and does not use Krug’s Édition or iD fields.

How to prevent mismatches in the inventory
- Use Krug iD only for a Krug bottle carrying that 6-digit code; never enter it for Drappier.
- Drappier’s official page supports Carte d’Or and a blend of at least 80% Pinot Noir. Give every other cuvée its own record.
- Record the fill level, closure, leakage, labels, gift box and storage history bottle by bottle.
Frequently asked questions about Krug and Drappier records
Is a Krug Édition number the same as a vintage?
No. Grande Cuvée blends several years, and Édition identifies each re-creation. Krug Vintage uses one stated vintage as its primary identifier.
Can a Krug iD be used for Drappier Carte d’Or?
No. Krug iD is Krug’s bottle-information system. Record Drappier from its formal expression, back label and provenance.
Can the two houses be placed in one comparison row based only on price?
No. Separate the house and expression first, then align the volume, vintage or batch, condition, provenance, date and transaction type.
