Salon Le Mesnil was founded in 1911 by Eugène-Aimé Salon in the Champagne region of France. It is the most mysterious top winery in Champagne: it only produces "single vintage / single vineyard / single varietal" (Chardonnay from the Mesnil-sur-Oger area) each year. Grapes that do not meet the vintage standard are all sold to its sister winery, Delamotte. In the past century, only about 40 vintages have been released. Salon belongs to the Laurent-Perrier Group and is known as one of the "three giants of Blanc de Blancs" alongside Krug Clos du Mesnil and Dom Pérignon P3.
