Brother Leslie Cheung's most collectible vinyl records

哥哥張國榮最值得收藏的黑膠唱片三

Is it excitement, sadness, or...
I really don't know what kind of mood I should be in when listening to this album, excitement, sadness, or... Perhaps, the first and the last may not be the best, and holding too high expectations may lead to greater disappointment.
The album "Final Encounter" features ten new songs, a mix of fast and slow tempos. The fast songs boast a powerful rhythm and meticulously crafted arrangements. "Absolutely Not," reminiscent of "Sleepless," Leslie's interpretation of a reckless wanderer has a unique charm. The rock-infused "Forbidden Film" draws on a unique source material, using the high-octane forbidden film as a metaphor for a passionate girl. Lin Zhenqiang's writing is once again bold. However, I still prefer "WHY?", also penned by Lin Zhenqiang.
In terms of ballads, Leslie's "When the Wind Rises" is clearly a response to his 1983 debut hit "The Wind Continues to Blow," with lyrics tailor-made for the singer. "Her in My Eyes" is poignant, its nostalgia for the pure emotions of yesteryear resonating easily with listeners. This Taiwanese adaptation has popular potential and is hard to ignore.

1989 was a remarkable year for the Hong Kong music scene. That year, Leslie Cheung announced his retirement from the music industry. To coincide with his farewell, this album was released. The cover features a folding design, creating a seamless, integrated design. The production is exceptional, and the track selection is undoubtedly excellent, with numerous hits. This album is a favorite among many entry-level vinyl collectors.
